The sun has risen at Maalaea Bay on Maui. Visitors are beginning to wake up and take their daily walks. Unlike some of the more heavy tourist areas, Maalaea offers uncrowded beaches most anytime. This particular picture was taken next to the outdoor shower looking west. The time of the year is summer. Of course you always have the healthy jogger trudging along in the sand. Time does indeed seem to slow down on Maui. There are over 120 miles of coastline with diverse beaches each with it's own personality.
