On the road to Hana you will find a quaint little place called Paia. Be sure and stop here to browse and observe some great windsurfing. Easy access to the beach. Park and sit awhile. You will not be disappointed. A friend of mine said they made a special trip to see the windsurfing and got poured on. You must remember that you are on the windward side of the island. The trades are trying to rise with the moisture laden air to cross the rapidly rising Haleakala and the result is rain at times. Just enjoy and if you windsurf this is one place to do it.
