You can reach Makena by going through Kihei. If you would like to know where this area is go to the map of Maui and find it. Map of Maui. The area is famous for some its beaches like Little Beach and Big Beach. Be wary here unless you do not mind stumbling on a clothing optional beach. It should be stated that it is not looked on favorably but being in the buff still seems to occur regularly.
